Perspectives III: The Bouncy Goddess Counseling Service
The much overdue (my fault, not his) next story in Jason Bertovich's epic series is here! Enjoy!

Hey, folks! Guess what? New story! (I'm sure you may have been able to guess, thanks to the title of this post.)
Boy Scouts ½ in Japan, part 8: Fast Times at Furinkan High, by Jason Bertovich As for why the long delay since the last story? Alas, as usual, entirely my fault, and you can find the sob story in the notes at the end of the story. Please enjoy it! I should be back soon(ish) with another Bertovich-penned tale, the next Perspectives story. (It will just take me a bit to get through it to get it ready for the website, since it is so bloody long!) And as for any writings from little old me... Well, I am working on Boy Scouts ½ in Japan, part 9, so hopefully you'll get to see that soon, too. Hello, everybody! I present to you the middle chapter of the In Japan Origins trilogy! Written by the amazing Jason Bertovich, I present to you In Japan Origins: Matt. Enjoy!
Howdy, folks! As promised a few days ago, a new story from Martha Wadley is now available for your enjoyment. I present to you, To Conquer the World IV: To Hang In the Balance. This story features a guest appearance that may be a treat to anyone who is a fan of a certain juvenile genius.
On top of that, there may be a second new story today... Something that might be a 500 page epic, and that might be the start of a whole new series staring a different version of Matt, Mike, Aaron, and the Bills. It might be...or it might not be. But in order to find out, you will have to do a tiny bit of hunting as this tale is something of an Easter egg. (You shouldn't have to hunt too hard, as it is somewhat related to the story linked above.) Well, until next time! Hopefully quite soon! Well, folks. First of all, new story! Boy Scouts ½ in Japan, part 7 (by some schmuck known as yours truly) is now available for your reading enjoyment!
Second... I had quite a surprise e-mailed to me from Jason Bertovich today. That horseshit that was the subject of the last update? The long forgotten ill conceived attempt at a spin-off that was going to forever be on a cliff hanger? Yeah, well, here's some closure for you if you'd like it. (In all honesty, I rag on Outlast, but it is a fun little popcorn read, and a bit more to bring it to some resolution made me smile. Hopefully it does for you, too.) Finally... this one may only be of interest to anyone who may be a long time reader of Boy Scouts ½ (if any other then myself and Jason exist), or to the exceptionally bored and curious... but I dusted off one more piece of long forgotten material from the original Geocities version of the website... Accessible from the "History of Boy Scouts ½ on the Web" page (or, to make it easy for you, directly accessible by clicking here) an archive of Guestbook entries left by visitors to the website from 1998 - 2000. That's it for today, folks. But it is definitely a good chunk of stuff, so hopefully it will keep you all content for a wee bit. Share and enjoy! I know that once upon a time I declared, "Restoration... Complete!" Well, even at the time I admitted that there may be a few things still lacking... My exact wording was, "Yeah, there are maybe one or two minor things, extras from the old website, that have yet to be ported over. And I may get to that eventually. But, to quote Dallas from the film Alien, 'Horseshit! We can take off without that.'"
Well, folks, I have some fine horseshit for you to enjoy today! Available now, and for the first time in probably about a decade without use of The Internet Wayback Machine, I present to you the failed Boy Scouts ½ spin-off, The Outlast-the-Other-Guys Challange! Good luck! Er, I mean, enjoy! I know, I know. I said I was done with the Soundtrack Project for a little bit... But this time, it wasn't me! I mentioned to Jason, "Hey, I've started doing this thing, and if you want Perspectives to be included, feel free to put something together!" And don't you know it, next thing I know he's sending me music and liner notes. And so I have to put it all together for you to enjoy.
So... enjoy! Hi, everybody! Guess what? I've got an update that actually is to announce new content!
First of all, a new story! Martha Wadley brings us a follow up to her first story. So I present to you To Conquer the World: The Night the FBI Came to Call. Enjoy! Secondly, some new work by Jason Bertovich! But this time, it isn't a story. It's some art! So visit the Art Page to view his drawings of himself and some of the other Perspectives characters. (And for those eagerly awaiting his next story, I understand that he is also working on that, so hopefully the wait shan't be much longer!) Back soon, with hopefully more new updates! Howdy, folks! Jason Bertovich's new and improved second Perspectives story is now available for you all! Enjoy!
Also, literally just as I was putting the finishing touches to it, I noticed the revised draft of that story from a surprise new author waiting in my inbox. Hopefully everything should be fine with it now! But I am tired, and must sleep, so with luck I will get to it later today. (For a tantalizing hint, however, I did slip it onto the Timeline page if you want a peak at the title...) Until next time! I'm just as surprised as anyone to be presenting another part of Jason Bertovich's epic, Of Possible Alternatives. Enjoy as Kenny makes an interesting discovery on one of the HMD discs containing the alternate possibilities!
In other news... I am already working on my next part of Boy Scouts ½ in Japan, and doing so in a wonderfully old fashioned way... Ah, the nostalgic smell of freshly shaved wood, the sound of the lead scratching against the paper, and the eventual dull ache of my pinky pressed against the paper as I write... It may seem strange, but writing it first in this way has me extra excited about the process. You may notice I said my next part, and not the next part... It also pleases me to announce that one William Thomas Hughes has agreed to write Boy Scouts ½ in Japan, part 6. There will be a bit of a wait, I fear, as he does have some personal matters to attend to first. But best estimations (which are not to be considered promises or guarantees) are that we can expect this story sometime in June. (Certainly better then the multi-year waits we'd had in the past!) And if you're looking for something else to do in the meantime, remember that comments are always welcome to any of these blog entries, or the forum is available for all manor of discussions. |
